Autism Services

The ABA program has a lot to be thankful for this season! We’re excited to announce that our Walnut Creek Center has reopened in-person sessions at a limited capacity. Clients and staff are so happy to be back after the long hiatus. Our reopening plans for the Dublin and Fairfield Centers are also underway, and we will be sure to update you as soon as we have an official reopenning to announce. If you are interested in having some of your ABA sessions at our Walnut Creek, Dublin, or Fairfield locations or in your home,
|
please be sure to reach out to your Clinical Manager and let them know. Stay tuned for upcoming announcements regarding increased capacity for our sessions at each of these locations.

Kaleidoscope
|
Fall is here and Kaleidoscope Community Adult Program has returned to volunteering at Sunflower Hill Garden. This is an opportunity that teaches our participants how to be botanists by learning the seed-to-table process, helping maintain the grounds (which includes watering, weeding and learning how to trim plant life), and gain experience using shovels, rakes, hoes and other tools. Our Kaleidoscope participants can get their hands in the soil, focus on and learn about the vegetables they are

growing and how to use kitchen tools while cooking their own meals. We are very thankful for our partnership with Sunflower Hill and the bounty it provides participants.
Like many of the crops at Sunflower Hill, Kaleidoscope is growing! This past month we added some new faces among both our staff and participants. We are looking to continue this growth, so if you know someone who is interested in adult day services, have them reach out to Zach Lupton at [email protected]

Early Intervention (EI)
|
Our EI program is very grateful for the ability to safely re-enter in-person services, and through our hybrid model, we are now cautiously working to meet the needs of all of our families’ preferred service requests. It’s safe to say that our providers and families both missed this service, and the hybrid model is making so much possible as we continue to ensure safety for both our staff and families.
We would like to give a very special shout-out to our
|
partners at Redwood Coast Regional Center and the Mental Health Services Act Grant, which have allowed us to create the Traveling Toy Library. Kicking off at our Lakeport office on November 1st, this Toy Library offers families access to nifty developmental toys and materials for their children, ages 0 – 5 years. Great work, Lakeport!
