Autism Services
The ABA program participated in various activities this month to honor all people on the autism spectrum, their families, advocates, healthcare workers, service providers and other community members who work together to support a more inclusive society. Some of our team members participated by changing their Zoom backgrounds in support, while others wore blue on April 2nd! Take a look here.

Did you know? The Field Operations Scheduling (FOS) team does a lot of behind-the-scenes work to ensure ESNorCal families get their sessions scheduled. From finding substitute practitioners to scheduling make-up sessions, the FOS team handles between 90 and 170 calls per day from families! Delivering great customer service and providing an excellent client experience is a point of pride for the FOS team, and meeting your family’s needs is the ultimate goal. The FOS team is currently piloting an exciting new centralized scheduling process across all service lines, including Parent Training and Parent-Led ABA! Stay tuned for more updates.

Kaleidoscope
Under the direction of the Lead Life Skills Coach and Program Manager, our Life Skills Coaches work with Kaleidoscope participants to ensure that they have access to the support, encouragement, resources and knowledge necessary to lead happy, fulfilling lives. Our Life Skills Coaches work with participants and their families to create personal goals and establish action plans to achieve them. Even now, while remote for over a year, our participants and Life Skills Coaches continue to meet goals and form bonds daily.
These bonds have been strengthened by the program's opportunities for socialization which have also helped participants in reaching many of their goals. Through these opportunities, Kaleidoscope Life Skills Coaches have been able to witness new friendships develop and old friendships deepen. Christian, one of our newer participants, said, “I really enjoy these art projects and meeting all of the people. We get to talk about our favorite Marvel movies, and I hope that we get to go to the movies soon.”

The Kaleidoscope Community Adult Program currently has openings! Please contact Zach Lupton at [email protected] for more information.

Early Intervention (EI)
The Early Start population has been greatly impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, with statistics showing that there has been a 14% decrease in referrals across the state. California Regional Centers’ Early Start services are available to children ages 0 – 3 who may need additional developmental support. Easterseals Northern California’s Early Intervention Program is expanding its efforts to help address this statewide shortage of Early Start referrals by partnering with other local agencies to provide screenings for families!
If you know a child who may benefit from these services, please share the Department of Developmental Service Early Start website or phone number
(1-800-515-BABY) with their parent or caregiver. The first three years of every child’s life are critical, and it is up to all of us to ensure that California’s infants and toddlers are accessing the services and resources they need to reach their fullest potential!
